About

Our story

Founded in 2024 by Claire, a young designer passionate about botany and nature, Maison Herboria was born from a desire to preserve the ephemeral beauty of plants. By observing nature develop and then fade over time, Claire had the idea of preserving the most beautiful species by pressurizing them and framing them, thus sublimating and immortalizing what is often called to disappear.

A unique piece, a botanical journey

Maison Herboria herbariums are unique creations, entirely handmade in Switzerland. Each piece is meticulously crafted with local flowers and plants, carefully collected in Switzerland and the Burgundy region in France. This artisanal process guarantees authentic herbariums, imbued with the natural spirit and local biodiversity, thus offering a true tribute to the beauty of nature in its purest form.

A precious universe, a lasting legacy

We are committed to creating exceptional objects, both aesthetic and timeless, that bring a refined touch to any interior. Maison Herboria stands out for its commitment to quality and discreet luxury: noble materials, impeccable finishes and particular attention to detail, to offer a product that embodies elegance and prestige.

  • 1- Collection

The flowers and plants are carefully picked or collected in the local regions of Switzerland and Burgundy, respecting biodiversity and the seasons.

  • 2- Selection before drying

Each plant is carefully sorted. Only the most beautiful and perfect ones are chosen to be dried.

  • 3- Going to press

The plants are gently pressed to preserve their shape and rich color, a process that can last several hours. After pressing, the plants are dried to prevent any alteration over time. The drying time can be up to four weeks depending on the plants.

  • 4- Sorting and selection

Once dried, the plants are carefully sorted again to keep only the most aesthetic and harmonious elements according to the planned compositions.

  • 5- Composition and framing

The selected plants are carefully arranged in frames, creating unique compositions that enhance each flower and leaf. A handwritten label indicating the name of the plant, its origin and its year is indicated at the bottom right of each creation.

  • 6- Finishing

Each herbarium is inspected and adjusted to ensure a perfect rendering before being ready to be displayed or offered.
